Kitten Naming

Momma vowed she wouldn't name the rescued kittens but taking care of them without names has proved difficult. So without further delay, let me introduce Pumpkin:
Momma's neighbor named this sweet girl. She is the oldest and likes to teach the younger ones how to get into mischief. She is full of energy, always chasing a ball, or wrestling with another kitten. When you pick her up though, she turns into a love-bug purring loudly. Here she is enticing Momma to give her a hug:
Next up is Tigger. He too was named by Momma's neighbor:
This little boy watches Pumpkin very closely and has learned to play and wrestle all of the time. When he finally tires he turns on the charm and climbs up on any person close by and wants to snuggle:
Then there is Milo who Momma named. This is the runt of the litter and although he tries to keep up with the others, he usually ends up climbing on Momma's lap and wants to be cuddled:
It doesn't take long for sweet Milo to fall asleep:
Speaking of sweetness, this is Gizmo:
Momma's neighbor's nephew named her. As you can see, she loves to be with people and get her belly rubbed. This little girl was the first of the kittens to purr and she hasn't stopped. She can often be found playing quietly by herself but if one of her brothers challenges her to a good tussle, she can hold her own! She always brings a smile to Momma's face even if she has to make one with her paws:
Steve was named by Daddy and he took a few more days to warm up to people. You won't find him playing with many toys but he loves to wrestle with Tigger and simply run around. After her eats, he insists on finding a lap to settle in and clean his little face. He's even starting to like all the kisses Momma gives although here he wants her toes:
Finally there is shy little Linus named by Momma:
He is the last one to eat and tends to observe what the others are doing until he feels compelled to join in. Once he gets started, he can wrestle with the best of them. Lately he has been climbing up on Momma's lap on his own accord and receiving his fair share of belly rubs and kisses.

Of course, when they get adopted their new Momma or Daddy will probably rename them but for now these little ones get lots and lots of love to go with their 1st names.

Kitty Morning

Good morning Momma:

Hold still Momma, I think I see something:

Hmmm, where did it go?
Oh, there it is... it's a mousey!
Don't worry Momma, I got it:
You know Momma, it's not really smart to keep mousies in your bed:

In Memory of Claya

Gracie and Riley's "big furry white thing" otherwise known as Claya went to doggie heaven last night. You will be missed sweet Claya.

What Kittens Do

Besides a lot of eating and going the bathroom, the foster kittens sure love to play on their scratcher:

They also like to attack whoever they can:

And apparently they like to be on my Momma's knee:

Kitten Stripes and Spots

WARNING: adorable picture below - may cause a human to uncontrollably run their finger along each stripe and kiss each and every belly spot.

Kitten Rescue times Six

It all started when Momma's neighbor called and said "Can you come over? I want to show you something." Momma went over right away and was ushered into the laundry room. When the door opened, she saw 6 kittens. Her neighbor explained she found these 5 week old babies (orange one is 8 weeks) behind a furniture store. They were very skinny and flea infested. With temperatures soaring into the low 100s outside, she knew she had to rescue them. My Momma immediately offered to help and for the past week has been spending entirely too much time away from me. This little boy was not eating on his own and had to be bottle fed for 3 days:

Thankfully all of the kittens are now drinking kitten formula or eating food on their own:

The problem is these kittens are now attached to my Momma. Just look at them! They all want on her lap... the picture on the right shows how all 6 of them managed to be on her at the same time.

I'm absolutely convinced my Momma adores me and would never keep one of these fur balls, but this litter is trying their best to wrestle into Momma's heart and stay forever at my house. I need to turn up the Abbi charm.    (Below this post is their family protrait.)

Advice from Aleah

Bathrooms are great fun, but never go in there after the male human.

Go Kitty Green

I would like to personally encourage all companies to continue to offer free reusable bags. I, for one, intend to find many environmentally friendly uses for them:

Kitty vs. Bed Sheets

I have admitted several times on this blog that I oversee and contribute to any and all household activities. On those days when Momma and Daddy change the sheets on the bed, it is my job to remove any potential wrinkles:

Happy Kitty

Experts on feline behavior claim when a cat's tail is straight up, they are happy and content. One normally sees this while a cat is upright, but I am such a happy girl that I continue to position my tail this way even when I'm laying down:

Kitty of the Hill

There are no hills where I live but that doesn't mean I still can't prepare for when I am King of the Hill!

Kitty Yoga

Now that I have a lot of spare time on my paws, I've been dabbling in yoga. I'm not convinced I'm doing it correctly, but I have notice my stretching abilities have improved. I basically make up my own poses and make sure to breathe properly. I wonder if this will help my abs?

Kitty Supervision

I am a Burmese and if there's one thing Burmese cats pride themselves on it is supervising all activity in the home. It therefore makes sense that when I saw Momma wrapping a baby shower gift, I had to get involved. I noticed she needed someone to hold the tape for her, so I gladly volunteered:
Gift tags, especially those with ribbon, must be closely watched and I of course am more than happy to oblige:
Momma obviously had a terrible lapse in judgment when she bought this stuffed canine monstrosity:
After thoroughly smelling the ridiculous dog bag, I notice the bow needs my inspection:
It appears to be properly applied so I move on to the dog bow:
Oh Momma, it's not quite right. I will make all necessary adjustments for you:
My work here is done:
