Kitty Valentine's Delay

Aleah doesn't quite understand human holidays, but she was excited to see this box:

As with anything new, Aleah quickly investigates: 

and decides the packing material is as good a toy as any:

She's pretty happy with her Valentine's day present:

Until Momma takes it away from her:

Even though she got some kitty treats in exchange, Aleah is not impressed with Valentine's day.

Aleah's Adjusting

I've resigned myself to the fact that I am officially an "inside cat" now, but it's required a lot of adjusting. This for example is the closest I get to hunting:

Life could be worse I suppose.

Kitty Similarities

Milo is starting to look like Aleah. Granted there are differences, but the patch of white fur is in the same place and we think as Milo gets older he will continue to look more like his step sister:

Santa Patrol Kitty Style

Aleah has taken it upon herself to monitor the exterior perimeter of the house after hearing countless songs about some human named Santa.

Thus far there have been no sightings, but Momma keeps reminding her to be a good girl.



Finders Keepers

Aleah is extremely happy that the kittens have returned to the neighbor's house. She wouldn't come out of her room while the little ones were here, however during her post-kitten inspection of the house she couldn't resist trying out one of their toys:

and realized this is what happens when the male human fills it with food:

Aleah & the Lamp

It was the start of a new day and Momma is at her desk working. As the best cat in the world, I am beside her keeping her company. That's when we heard a crashing noise. Momma looks up at me but I can say unequivocally, it wasn't me! She next checks on Shia, but she's sprawled out on the patio keeping an eye on the birds. As she peeks in on Donovan, all she sees is a very content sleeping kitty. That leaves Aleah. Momma's kitty senses are heightened when she finds Aleah hiding sheepishly under the chair:

A quick glance around the room and Momma notices the lamp that normally sits atop the nightstand is no longer there. Instead she finds this on the floor (notice the cat toy in the same location):

The dreaded vacuum cleaner had to be summoned which resulted in Aleah finding additional refuge under the bed. This is what Momma gets for bringing uncivilized felines into this house.

New Kitty Toy

The Many Faces of Aleah

The kittens have received so much web presence that Aleah was getting jealous. She thought she needed some face time.

Aleah's Treat

The female human has her hands full... literally. I often see her toting kittens back and forth from our house to the neighbor's house. Thankfully she keeps the kittens away from me. I'm pretty partial to having things my way and I don't want any rugrats getting into my stuff. The other day she told me I needed some "special attention." I wasn't exactly clear what that meant but she placed this bag on the floor and it smelled delicious:

I hope she gives me more "special attention" tomorrow:

Freaky Friday

Not a good start to today... Abbi wants to kill Donovan, Aleah found the kitten carrier in her sacred bathroom, Shia is sick of the insanely high heat index, and Milo wants to live with Momma.

We're not a fan of firecrackers or fireworks but we are a fan of freedom.

Kitty Game

This household is quite high tech. All of the felines are very proficient with every kind of gadget imaginable. Since it looks like I'm going to be here for awhile, I might as well join in on all the fun. I found this thing laying on the floor and would you believe it has cat games on it?



(Oh yeah, I need to get the high score before the others find out about this!)

Bathrooms are great fun, but never go in there after the male human.
